Normal wear and tear on equipment can develope over the course of a demanding year. Hoses, tires, fittings, gears, and other moving parts begin to wear after being exposed to extreme temperatures, long hours, and taxing conditions. That is why NBC has implemented a two pronged plan encompassing a preemptive winter service and a continual summer service.

Innovative North Bay “Preemptive Winter Service”

When other shops slow or close during winter rains, the pace picks up in our modern maintenance buildings. With over 32,000 square feet of service bays, our shop crew takes on 10–12 pieces of idle yellow iron at a time until they have completely overhauled several hundred pieces of heavy equipment, flat beds, water tankers, fuel trucks and pick–ups. Mechanics will do fluid renewals, part replacements, and welding work to ensure that when the machinery arrives on the jobsite it is safe and looking like it came off of the showroom floor. This unique and innovative winter service/repair program guarantees the nucleus of our operation will run at maximum performance during busy construction periods.

Superior North Bay “Shop–On–Wheels Summer Service”

Before the sunrise heralds the dawn of another demanding day during our peak operating season, NBC fuel trucks fill up and head out to each project, supplying thousands of gallons of fuel each day to North Bay equipment and guaranteeing the job can begin on time…and on budget. The North Bay mechanics advance their self-contained “shop–on–wheels” into the field, making available a crane, compressor, welder, torches, vises, complete tool set and bright night lights for 24–hour activity. This superior service provides North Bay Construction the capability to do major and minor repairs anytime…anywhere.
